ARNOLD, Dorothy
"Morning Music"

Dorothy Arnold has lived in Orange for over 35 years and has a background in nursing. This has lead her to be involved with the palliative care service and the Regional Cancer Council.
Dorothy is also a “Distinguished Toast Master” – one of only two within the Central and Far West regions.
Dorothy has been a member of OCB for almost ten years and is currently President; she has been Vice President and Secretary as well as a member of the Committee of Management for over six years. Dorothy has been actively involved in and responsible for all the fund raising events at the station; eg, Mr Orange, Star Search, raffles, barbecues, garage sales, concerts, etc
Dorothy broadcasts a regular program on Thursdays between 9.00 am and 11.00 am; the program is “Morning Music” filled with easy-listening music, current affairs, news and interviews with local personalities.
Dorothy, as well as being President of Orange Community Broadcasters, is also a member of the Fund Raising, Sponsorship and Programming Subcommittees.
BLACK, Jim
“Big Country Lunch” - Monday

Jim has been a member of FM107.5 since 2001 and is well known to listeners as the “Barn Owl” broadcasting great country tracks in his “Big Country Lunch” program on Mondays. You’ll hear all your favourites in the country genre as well as Jim’s favourites like George Jones, Dwight Yoacam, Lorrie Morgan and Randy Travis.
Jim looks forward to some golf in his spare time as well as walking his young dog, Lucky; and he does some meditation as well. As an ex-muso, Jim loves listening to all types of music.
BRYANT, Matt
“Midday Variety Lunch”

Matt started broadcasting his “Midday Variety Lunch” in November 2011 with a great mix of music to entertain Sunday listeners between 12 noon and 2.00 pm. Matt’s favourites are Men at Work, Adam Harvey and Credence Clearwater Revival is Matt’s all-time favourite.
“Way back” in 1999, Matt broadcast a “Breakfast Show” at Macarthur Community Radio. Matt has worked on a Voice-Over Course with Grant Goldman and has studied at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney.
Matt loves sport – especially Rugby League which he fits in within his busy work schedule.
Matt has been interviewed many times on radio as a guest about his experiences of being “legally blind”.
CONNERTY, Trevor

Trevor Connerty joined OCB early in 2010 and with his whole career working in the finance area, he was quickly invited to use his expertise to help out. In January 2010, Trevor took on the role of Treasurer on the Committee of Management of OCB.
Trev is now retired and cares for his Mum who is almost 90. He has interests in horse racing and is a keen ten-pin bowler. Trev works for Golden West Racing on race days at the Orange and Bathurst races. He has also been Treasurer for other organisations including being a past Treasurer of Orange District Soccer Association for four years.
Trev loves visiting his grandchildren up north and Bayden and Marli take “pride of place” in his busy life.
CHAMBERLAIN, Ben
“Life’s a Riot”

“Life’s a Riot” with Ben Chamberlain began in August 2010 and is proving to be a real treat for FM107.5 listeners.
Ben had a program with FM107.5 a couple of years ago and then moved to Leeton to finish his apprenticeship but has now returned to Orange.
Ben spends his spare time listening to music and working out.
Make sure you tune in to Ben’s show each Saturday afternoon to hear the most random selection of music on the radio. You’ll hear a varied selection of artists like Michael Jackson, the Spice Girls, Glen Miller, Nickelback, Frank Sinatra, Missy Higgins and Jerry Lee Lewis – just to remind you that “life really is a riot”!
COST-CHRETIEN, Patrick
"The Ghostrider"

He has a French name, although he’s Maltese, but Patrick Cost-Chretien presents his community radio station program under the pseudonym the ‘Ghostrider’.
Patrick can be heard every second Tuesday from noon until 2.00 pm when he says he plays all sorts of music, all over the place - ranging from Louis Armstrong, the latest dance music or the quite experimental electronic sounds. Patrick concentrates on a wide selection of tastes in music rather than one specific style to make sure there’s plenty of variety in his program.
Patrick, who has been a miller at Manildra for 10 years and car-shares each day from Orange, says he absolutely loves doing his program. Being a shift worker he can only do it every fortnight but being at FM107.5 he gets to talk about news at Manildra as well.
FITZGERALD, Steve
“Rock on Air”

Steve started broadcasting “Rock on Air” in November 2009 and includes some of his favourite artists like Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and most 60’s artists.
Steve works as a taxi driver in Orange and has done for about four years. In his spare time, he enjoys his music, reading, watching sports on TV, home brewing, gardening, playing golf and competition table tennis. He also loves spending time with his family and friends especially around the BBQ.
Tune in to Steve’s program each Thursday afternoon between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm and you’ll be singing along with all your favourites and hear some new tracks, new albums, and new artists.
GROCOTT, Jim
“A Big Country Lunch” - Thursday;
“Jim’s Jazz Collection”

Jim Grocott has been a member of FM107.5 for approximately three years and has a background in the telecommunications industry.
Jim broadcasts “A Big Country Lunch” on Thursdays between 12.00 noon and 3.00 pm which features a wide variety of old and new country tracks and country artists – focusing on Australian artists and Christian country. Jim is also the presenter for “Jim’s Jazz Collection” between 7.00 pm and 10.00 pm on Tuesday evenings. Again, Jim promotes many Australian artists with a mixture of great jazz and blues music.
Jim is also a member of the Technical Subcommittee and the Programming Subcommittee.
In Jim’s “spare time”, he grows bonsai trees and plays with model cars.
HUNT, Nathan
“Nathan’s Happy Hour”

Nathan started broadcasting on 10 July 2010 after a break of a few years. Tune in every Saturday night between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm to hear the latest music in Nathan’s program.
Nathan enjoys music from Switchfoot, RelientK and the Backstreet Boys who are some of his favourites. He enjoys the movies – particularly natural disaster movies like “2012” and science fiction movies like “Star Gate”.
Nathan does volunteer work at FM107.5 and with a Christian bookshop and enjoys being a Christian and hanging out with local youth; he also fills in lots of time playing computer games.
JESS, David
“Night in Heaven ”

David rejoined FM107.5 in September 2011 broadcasting “Night in Heaven” on alternate Wednesday nights between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm. What a variety of music, you’ll hear! David will entertain you with music from the four corners of the world.
David loves the Central West – particularly living and teaching in Cowra.
He said “The first concert I remember going to was Bryan Ferry at the Horden Pavilion. The first record I bought was ‘The Great Rock & Roll Swindle’”.
David is a teacher by profession. His hobbies include CD and book collecting, Bonsai, and sleeping. He loves music – loves the joy it brings and wants to share it with everyone on a Wednesday evening.

KITTLER, Ilse
“The German Program”

Ilse Kittler has broadcast “The German Program” between 4.00 pm and 5.00 pm on Saturdays since 2005 – it is another one of our popular ethnic programs with listeners from all over our listening area and beyond.
Ilse uses the weekly German newspaper “Die Woche” (“The Weekly”) to ensure that she passes on the latest news items from Germany. In her program, Ilsa features German stories and poems interspersed with German folk songs, pop songs and waltzes.
Ilse’s program has a broad listening base – with fans in Orange and surrounding districts of Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, Wellington and Bathurst. Fans from as far away as Sydney, America and Germany receive a copy of Ilse’s program because they say they love maintaining that “special tie” to their homeland.
LANGDON, Geoff
“A Big Country Lunch”

Geoff joined FM107.5 in mid 2008 as a presenter just “to do a favour for” someone who was going to be away for a while! And here it is, much later – and Geoff is still a part of FM107.5. Geoff now has his own show and broadcasts “A Big Country Lunch” on Fridays between 12 noon and 3.00 pm.
Geoff has some Australian favourites with Slim Dusty being “right up there” as Number 1 - as well as Troy Cassar-Daley, Melinda Schneider and Tanya Kernaghan. You’ll also hear overseas country greats like Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Trish Yearwood, Randy Travis and Allan Jackson. Geoff’s favourite music is country and he loves country gospel as well.
Geoff is a Baptist Pastor, a Chaplain with the Rural Fire Service, an ex-farmer and a family man and he and his wife enjoy their three children and love spending time with their seven grandchildren.
McMILLAN, Gordon
“Morning Music ”

Gordon has presented his “Morning Music” program for many years and his loyal listeners never miss his programs between 9.00 am and 12 noon every Wednesday and Friday.
Gordon’s program provides you with wonderful music selections from 50s and 60s hits as well as folk, country and easy-listening tracks.
Gordon joined FM107.5 after his retirement from the ABC and he is always willing to train new FM107.5 presenters and share his skills, knowledge and experience.
Gordon participates in fund-raising activities, Open Days and other activities at FM107.5.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoys being part of the Orange Film Society and also looks forward to his weekly 9-holes of golf.
MASON, Kevin

Kevin Mason’s involvement with community radio dates back to 1986 when he began producing music and interviews at Radio Northern Beaches in Sydney and continued after moving to Orange at the end of 2002.
Kevin has been a member of 2OCB since early in 2003 and later that year was elected to the Committee of Management acting as Treasurer for two years and then as President for two terms. Kevin is into his second term as Vice President.
Kevin has broadcast a range of programs during his time with FM107.5 including “Kevin’s Long Morning Tea”. In 2009, Kevin offered to be the station’s “fill-in” broadcaster when daytime presenters are away. He has filled in for “A Big Country Lunch” and “Start Me Up”.
Kevin’s philosophy of community radio is that it is a dynamic entity in community life particularly in country areas where it has the ability to entertain, inform, educate and train people in all aspects of radio communication on a local basis.
MORRIS, Susan, O.A.M.
"Tuesday’s in the Mix”

Susan Morris has had a long career in both teaching and management prior to joining FM107.5.
Susan became a member of FM107.5 in October 2006 and started broadcasting a Thursday afternoon program of easy–listening music; she then moved on to “The Odd Magic Monday” on the odd Mondays of the month in December 2006. In January 2008, she started “Thursday’s in the Mix” which moved to “Tuesday’s in the Mix” in January 2009. Susan’s program is filled with a wide variety of music from the “forties to the noughties”, news, and regular segments including a “Birthday Spot” and “Spotlights”.
Susan was elected as a member of the Committee of Management at the AGM in September 2007 and held the position of Secretary for two terms; she is currently on the 2009-2010 Committee of Management.
Susan is involved in writing training materials for Orange Community Broadcasters and training new presenters.
POWELL, Bruce
“Rock & Roll Rarities”

Bruce Powell joined FM107.5 in late 2009 to broadcast “Rock & Roll Rarities” every Wednesday between 12 noon and 2.00 pm.
Bruce worked in the music industry from the mid 60s to the late 90s – initially in record promotion and then music publishing. He worked closely with Australian artists/composers including Olivia Newton-John, Richard Clapton, Marc Hunter (Dragon) Sherbert, Graham Connors, Rod McCormack and Digger Revell. Bruce also administered music publishing companies for Johnny O’Keefe and Col Joye. Internationally, Bruce represented such luminaries as Phil Collins, Cliff Richard, Rolling Stones, The Who, George Harrison, B52s, Peter Frampton, Deep Purple and U2 – along with musicals including “Les Miserables” and “Miss Saigon”. Bruce was a Director of the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) for twelve years and Chairman of both the Australasian Music Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) and the Australian Music Publishers Association Ltd (AMPAL).
In 2006, the O’Keefe family appointed Bruce as the official representative of The Johnny O’Keefe Family Trust.
Bruce and his wife of 43 years, Susanne, now live in Mount Victoria in the beautiful Blue Mountains with their two kittens, Tom and Syd, and a family of kangaroos.
SADLER, Dianne
"Do You Remember?"

Dianne Sadler joined FM107.5 in July 2009 with her "Do You Remember" program on Mondays between 10.00 am and 12 noon. The music you'll hear will have you humming and singing along with all those Jukebox and easy-listening favourites that you'll remember. You'll also meet some new talent like Helmet Lotti who sings the old tunes you'll love.
Dianne became a member of the Committee of Management at the AGM in September 2009 and is responsible for FM107.5's music library set up at the studio.
Di works part time and enjoys walking and listening to music but she says that spending time with her family is "the tops".
SAID, Nicole
“Nic’s Mix”

Nicole joined FM107.5 in October 2009 with her weekly program “Nic’s Mix” on Wednesday between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Nicole plays some of the hottest hits of today and some of the older hits from yesterday.
Tune in to “Nic’s Mix” and hear some of everyone’s favourite tracks from Short Stack, ACDC, Fall Out Boy, Bon Jovi, Pink and Kanye West.
Nicole currently works at Subway in Orange and is planning on going to University in 2010. She is hoping to enrol in media studies so FM107.5 is her “launching pad”. Nicole also plays hockey and likes helping her Dad on the farm.
SALIH, Abdul
"The Arabic Show"

Abdul Salih has been a member of FM107.5 since 2004 and he was a Mechanical Engineer prior to his retirement as an engineer on pipeline construction projects in Iraq.
Abdul runs an Arabic program each Sunday from 9.45 am to 11.00 am.
The Arabic Program is brimful of music and songs from different countries in the Arab world with news, information and music selections from Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and other Arab countries. Abdul’s program is mainly oriented towards English-speaking people and the object of his program is to introduce Arab music to the wider Australian public.
Abdul loves spending time with his two grand daughters, daughter and son-in-law who also live in Orange.
SAVAGE, Ron
“Drive Time” and “The Handyman Hour”

Ron Savage joined FM107.5 in late 2007 and, as well as spending 13 years as a Police Officer, he has a background as a retail proprietor and a real estate agency proprietor and was a Councillor on Orange City Council for six years.
Previously, Ron has spent some of his spare time restoring vintage cars and a motor cycle and has enjoyed travelling world wide over many years. He is married with children and grandchildren. Ron has lived in Orange for the past 42 years.
Ron broadcasts his “Drive Time” program on Thursday between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Ron’s program is filled with a variety of music including 70s and 80s pop tunes, news items and current affairs comments. You can hear Ron again on Saturday mornings between 9.00 am and 10.00 am when he runs “The Handyman Hour” sponsored by Mitre 10.
SMITH, Tony

Tony joined FM107.5 in April 2011 with “Light Classical” broadcasting every Wednesday afternoon between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm. This program was soon increased to two hours with listener requests.
Tony enjoys classical music with “tunes” which would make pure classicists “turn their noses up”! Buy Tony is sure listeners will like the sorts of classical selections that are his favourites and Mozart will appear in most programs.
Tony has been in Orange for 38 years and his career was in the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Navy and also as a lecturer in Law at the University in Orange.
When Tony can find the time, he spends it bird watching and studying the Chinese language.
SPICER, Doug
“Dusty Tracks with Dusty Doug”

Doug is an “old hand” at FM107.5 and has been a member of the station since June 2001. Doug was involved in the Wednesday and Thursday programs of “A Big Country Lunch” for many years and he was a favourite with country music listeners.
In late 2007, Doug changed his timeslot and now presents “Dusty Tracks with Dusty Doug” – a program of music for baby boomers! Doug broadcasts each Monday and Tuesday between 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm and his program is filled with great sing-a-long tracks from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Doug’s music variety caters for a wide section of our listener base with easy listening, pop, country, and rock tracks.
TANDANG, Rolly; CHISWELL, Remy
and HUELMO, Eddie
“The Filipino Progam”

Eddie and Remy have been broadcasting “The Filipino Program” every week since 2003 and Rolly Tandang is now part of the team.
The Filipino Program is currently broadcast on Tuesday evenings between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm.
The program is in both English and Filipino to target the Filipino community in our listening area to ensure that local services and events are publicised to the Filipino people through FM107.5.
“The Filipino Program” is filled with community announcements including information about local activities, events and services. You’ll hear a variety of Filipino music. Eddie selects classical and folk Filipino music, Remy plays the old and the new artists and Rolly plays modern rock music. Every Filipino of any age is catered for and you’re sure to hear your favourite music and artists.
TURNER, Steve
reserve host

Steve Turner is our “irreplaceable” fill-in when another presenter is unavailable and you’ll usually hear him “in the mornings” when he’s “on air”. Steve includes lots of easy-listening and popular music selections in his program – you’ll be sure to be singing along for the whole show.
Steve is a great supporter of FM107.5 and he sponsors the station as well with his business Western Battery Co Pty Ltd.
Steve always conducts FM107.5’s political interviews with local candidates for local, state and federal elections – a great service for the local community.
Steve loves travelling and riding his Harley.
