About us ...

Community radio offers the listening public ...
access to a more diverse range of music, information, news and views than is available from commercial or government-based stations. It also provides communities with locally-produced content that is immediately relevant to their daily lives.

Orange Community Broadcasters Inc (OCB) is a not-for-profit ...
incorporated association which is membership based and run by an elected volunteer Committee of Management. Any money that we make from memberships, sponsorships and fundraisers goes back into the station. OCB Inc owns and operates radio station FM107.5 (2OCB) which broadcasts from studios at 77 Kite Street in Orange, New South Wales via our transmitter on Mount Canobolas.

FM107.5, being volunteer driven,
brings a localism to the community by operating "for the people, by the people". We are on air 24 hours a day with local and satellite broadcasts; presenters bring a variety of skills, abilities, experiences, talents, backgrounds and community networks to our broadcasts.

Our station transmits a diverse range of programs ...
from country, pop, classical, easy listening, jazz, and rock music, to locally-written and produced radio plays, indigenous, ethnic, children's and schools' programs. They include local community information, community announcements, news and interviews with local identities about topical issues and we are hoping to soon be able to include a regular local sports program.

We proudly broadcast above the Australian Broadcasting Association's minimum requirement of 25% Australian content.

You may be interested in finding out more ...
about becoming a presenter and producing your own program, as a member of FM107.5. OCB Inc performs a useful and important role in providing basic media training for presenters; however you can also become a non-broadcasting member and help us with our fundraising efforts or administration.

The volunteers who work at FM107.5 know they are providing ...
valuable volunteer work and members can have the opportunity to develop new skills relating to radio production. In addition to all of that, volunteers enjoy working in radio - because it is fun!

FM107.5 also provides free community announcements and sells sponsorships to local organisations for very reasonable rates.

We are here to be part of the local community,
to bring diversity and independence to local radio. So contact us if you would like to have input into our programming or become a member of this great local association. Membership is open to everyone for $45 per year for individuals, or $85 per year for organisations.

Come to community radio for the greatest diversity and truly local broadcasting!
